Westminster, MD, Tuesday, April 15, 2025 – Carroll County Government will recognize April 21-25, 2025, as National Work Zone Awareness Week. The county scheduled a variety of activities for the week-long commemoration to include a work zone safety training day, kickoff event, go orange day, social media storm, and a moment of silence.

National Work Zone Awareness Week (NWZAW) is an annual spring campaign held at the start of construction season to encourage safe driving through highway work zones. This year, the North Carolina Department of Transportation is hosting the 2025 NWZAW with the theme, "Respect the Zone so We All Get Home.”
